Cavallería Beach
Caballería beach is one of the most famous and spectacular virgin beaches in Menorca.
This beach is located in the north center of the island, it is a beach without buildings, the parking area is large and it has a small beach bar, and it can be combined with a visit to the area of the Cavallería Lighthouse .
Mesquida Cove
Cala Mesquida is a geological beauty, adorned with a small coastal settlements, a watchtower from the 19th century, and three small islands with some little houses on top.
The parking area of Cala Mesquida is small, but it is located right next to the beach. It is close to Mahón, the capital of Menorca, and in the village there is only one small restaurant that opens for a few months.
Pillar Cove
Cala Pilar is a spectacular virgin beach with orange sand and red geology, in the north of Menorca.
The Cala Pilar car park is small and is half an hour’s walk from the beach. There are no restaurants or other tourist services.
Algaiarens beaches
Algaiarens is a set of two virgin beaches located on the north coast of Ciutadella, the old capital of Menorca.
These beaches have 2 relatively large parking areas nearby, although the road to get there is sometimes too narrow and winding for the traffic it receives during the busiest summer months.
Tirant Beach
Cala Tirant is a set of two beaches, one much larger than the other. Both beaches are connected by wooden stairs. On both sides of the beaches there are small tourist settlements, with relatively little parking space.
These are beaches at the bottom of a very pronounced gulf, with fantastic views of Cabo de Caballería.
Son Xoriguer Beaches
This is a succession of at least ten tiny paradisiacal beaches in the southwest of Menorca located between two somewhat larger beaches.
These beaches are located next to a hotel zone, which implies relative overcrowding during the high season months, but also a wide range of tourist services available.
Macarelleta Cove
Cala Macarelleta, next to Cala Macarella, is the most beautiful beach in southern Menorca.
During the summer there is a regular bus from Ciutadella. Attention: In high season you can’t get there by car, but you can get there on foot from Cala Galdana, half an hour away.
Sa Caleta Cove
Sa Caleta is a small calcareous rock cove, pine trees, white sand and crystal clear water a few kilometers south of Ciutadella.
The parking place is located in the streets of the urbanization that surrounds it. It is a pleasant place, very local, with a small beach bar on the beach itself, and all kinds of tourist services spread out in the surrounding urbanisations.
Son Bou
Son Bou is the longest beach on the island. It has one of the oldest urbanizations on the island, where you can find all kinds of tourist services.
Son Bou has a very large dirt parking lot right next to the sand, as well as showers and a good team of lifeguards. Being an open beach sometimes the water has a strong current.
Rafalet Cove
Cala Rafalet is a tiny beach situated between gigantic ravines. The Rafalet car park is very small and few people know the place.
To get to Cala Rafalet to swim, it is highly recommendable to be guided by a local person or to receive good directions, since the dirt road has a small deviation that leads to the wooded ravine. At the end of the forest of the ravine is this secret cove ;)
