Majorcan sausages

Majorcan sobrassada is made from paprika, lean pork, bacon, salt and spices. It is the best-known sausage on the island and can be bought at any local delicatessen or butcher.

There is historical evidence that sobrassada was already produced in Majorca in the 16th century, and today it is protected with the geographical indication seal.
